To some, they’re going to blehhhh the whole new year, another opportunity sayings, and carry on like it’s a normal day. But to us all who actually looked forward to this new year… HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Trusting that all is well with you and yours, and is definitely staying safe in this crazy world!
On my end, it’s fair to say that I am great, and babygirl is doing phenomenal… growing and advancing before my eyes! But needless to say, I thank God for loaning her to me because she have indeed came to unlock another version of myself I think I desperately needed!
I don’t know the last time I actually got on here and pour my heart out to you all, but let us see where this new year takes us.
Let’s Make It Happen
In your eyes, the “it” may be to get up off your hip and start exercising, or may be starting that dream business you have been sitting on from 2019 (just saying). Whatever it is, START NOW!
On the contrary, this new year, I plan on doing more and tapping more into my God-given gifts, advancing my knowledge, being intentional in my Spiritual Journey and a whole lot of other shenanigans including my Journal Therapy!
By the way, I was gifted a devotional as a Christmas gift! Speak about pouring into someone, and wanting to see them flourish!

Moving forward, now that I have babygirl, and the fact that lil sis is advancing by the day, and discovering her own little gifts and personality… let’s just say that we’re going to tap into different areas of her life as well.
ONLY YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN.
I have summed up a few pointers to help jumpstart year 2022:
- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Start with SELF! Before you show up for and support other goals and dreams… believe that you have goals and dreams worth supporting as well!
For sure, this is one area of my life I plan to work on, because sis be doubting her potential! All I can say is, Thank GOD for my mother because it is her that keep me afloat, that make sure that I’m not going with the flow of life, and definitely not sitting on my God-given gifts!
- DISCOVER YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES… We’re all good at something, figure it out!
When you work within your strengths, you then can be of great use to someone that’s in need.
May their weakness be your strength!
That can stand for relationships, situationships, career, etc.
Strengths are tasks or actions you can do well. These include knowledge, proficiencies, skills, and talents. People use their traits and abilities to complete work, relate with others, and achieve goals.

- WRITE OUT YOUR PLANS AND MAKE IT PLAIN… Seek God for Confirmation
The whole “New Year, New Me”, let’s make a vision board, planning how we want our new year is fairly common… but the question of the hour is, are we including God in the midst?
I’m snatching all type edges, including mine at this point!
I’m guilty of leaning on my own understanding, and for planning planning, but not including God or waiting to hear what’s His mandate for my life this new year.
As the devotional I read this morning,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —— Jeremiah 29:11
- GET OUT OF YOUR DAMN WAY & LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN
We put limitations on ourselves! We fight ourselves with fear, lack of confidence, envy… all except staying in our lane!
Let’s get straight to the point… GET OUT OF YOUR WAY!
This is the year of restoration, your year to get out of your way, submit your plans to the Lord, and walk in faith not fear!
